The European Hotel Awards are an independent European platform dedicated to the recognition and contextual presentation of excellence in luxury hospitality, hotel management and distinctive hotel identities across Europe.

Founded in Strasbourg in 2018, the European Hotel Awards have developed as a selective initiative designed to highlight hotels, hoteliers and hospitality professionals whose work reflects service culture, leadership, consistency, guest experience, architectural relevance, F&B identity, sustainability awareness and a meaningful contribution to the European hospitality landscape.

Each annual edition is connected to an exclusive ceremony hosted in a distinguished European venue, bringing together selected laureates, hospitality leaders, partners, media representatives and invited guests in a formal and carefully curated setting. Previous editions have taken place in some of Europe’s notable hospitality destinations, including the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva, W Barcelona, Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva, Sofitel Barcelona Skipper, Grand Hotel Vilnius, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Radisson Collection Royal Copenhagen, with the 2026 edition hosted at Grand Hotel del Mare Resort & Spa on the Italian Riviera.

The European Hotel Awards are founded upon a holistic philosophy of excellence. Candidates are considered not only through measurable performance, but also through the values, vision, creativity, heritage, human commitment and long-term relevance that shape their identity within the luxury hospitality sector.

The selection process is overseen by the European Hotel Awards Selection Committee, with distinctions reviewed according to the positioning, standards, professional relevance and individual character of each hotel or hospitality professional concerned. Each recognition aims to reflect a credible balance between quality, consistency, service culture, innovation and contribution to European hospitality.

Rather than functioning as a mass-market award platform, the European Hotel Awards present a curated vision of European hospitality excellence through official distinctions, annual ceremonies, editorial visibility, interviews, laureate profiles and long-term recognition.
