A Message from Michel Stalport – the President – European Hotel Awards 2025
In a rapidly evolving world where hospitality must continually reinvent itself, the European Hotel Awards serve as a compass—a tribute to tradition and a call to excellence. In 2025, we head to Vilnius, a city whose baroque Old Town and vibrant arts scene encapsulate our awards’ spirit: authentic, visionary, and distinctly European.
As President of the 2025 Selection Board, I am honoured to lead this cross-border initiative. More than a ceremony, the European Hotel Awards recognize those who shape the art of hosting—not by scale alone, but through values, boldness, and sincerity.
Today’s hospitality must remain resilient amid global uncertainty while continuing to inspire with genuine purpose. This vision requires leaders who unite operational brilliance with emotional intelligence and strategic foresight with human depth—qualities we celebrate.
Our Selection Committee, composed of seasoned professionals from across Europe, chose not only to reward excellence but also to honour diversity—in formats, territories, and spirits. Whether it’s an iconic five-star palace, an independent or family-run hotel, an innovative concept, or a venue guided by the art of hospitality, each address reveals a unique story—and every story weaves a precious link in the grand European tapestry of hospitality.
As we gather in Vilnius for the 2025 edition, let us remember: hospitality is more than an industry—it is a shared responsibility, a living culture, and above all a gesture of love and respect toward every guest.
“True hospitality is not measured in square meters or stars, but in the intention to welcome, uplift, and create connection.”
