For the purposes of this page, “European Hotel Awards” (EHA) refers to the private event brand and the related editorial and organisational ecosystem published by Platinium Publications de Presse. “Board” refers exclusively to the honorary Selection Committee; “Partner” includes sponsors, media partners and product-in-kind contributors; “Confidential Information” includes all non-public data, lists, internal messages, contact details, documents, scripts and materials provided or accessed within the EHA ecosystem.
All members of the Selection Committee (referred to as the “Board”) hold honorary titles only. Their role is strictly limited to the deliberation and voting process for the selection of award recipients. These honorary positions confer no rights or responsibilities beyond this scope. Board members are not involved in the organisation, funding, or legal management of the European Hotel Awards, nor in the company that oversees the programme. The composition of the Board may evolve from year to year to reflect the diversity and independence of the selection process.
All honorary members are implicitly bound by a strict duty of confidentiality regarding the selection process and the annual deliberation of award recipients. This obligation is inherent to the nature of their role.
All information, contacts and materials provided within the European Hotel Awards ecosystem are strictly confidential. Any Board member, sponsor or partner found to leak, share or exploit this information—directly or indirectly—for competing events or entities will face immediate legal action under trade-secret and data-protection laws.
During the term of any collaboration and for a period of twelve (12) months thereafter, no Board member, employee or affiliate may solicit or contract with any Guest, Sponsor, Media Partner or key contact introduced by the European Hotel Awards for a competing event. Any breach will incur injunctive relief and liquidated damages of up to €50,000 per offence.
All Board members, sponsors, affiliates and partners must refrain from any public or private statements—verbal, written or electronic—that disparage or harm the reputation of Platinium Publications de Presse, its Board members, staff, awardees, partners or the European Hotel Awards event itself. Any breach will give rise to injunctive relief, recovery of legal fees and liquidated damages up to €25,000 per offence.
All trademarks, logos, award graphics and event materials remain the sole property of Platinium Publications de Presse. Any unauthorised use, reproduction or adaptation—especially for competing purposes—is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted for infringement and unfair competition.
In case of any breach of the above clauses (confidentiality, non-solicitation, anti-parasitism, anti-defamation, intellectual property), Platinium Publications de Presse reserves the right to seek, without limitation:
This agreement is governed by French law, with the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cannes.
These legal safeguards apply to all participants, Board members, sponsors, partners, guests, contractors and affiliates interacting with the European Hotel Awards ecosystem. Acceptance of invitations, provision of materials, attendance at the event or participation in any selection activity implies full and unconditional acceptance of the present terms.
